eBook or Paperback?

I’ve had some ask me if this book is going to become available as an ebook but I don’t have any plans for that at this stage. It has such a beautiful cover and I want it read on planes, trains, trams, buses and anywhere else in public so that other people can see it. And this is exactly what has happened for someone who has been reading my book.

Here is what she says:

I wanted to let you know that I shared your book on the plane with a woman who was also flying to Kansas City. She purchased my book and read it cover to cover and then I offered yours since I had just finished reading it. I told her you were from Australia. She was enjoying the part she read before we landed. She took your information and said she would look for the book.

YOUR BOOK IS FABULOUS!!! I saw so many parallels between you, me
Graham and Nate.

I’m in Australia and this lady is in the US – I think it wonderful that she was able to share my book on a plane with someone else. Somehow I don’t think an ebook would get the same kind of attention, do you?

  1. I also prefer reading books as a physical book. Any e-book I get is printed out and, if it’s good, I bind it to add to my library. Your book is currently in my handbag for me to read as I have a few minutes in between running kids around.

  2. Hi Kathie,
Your books looks and sounds so interesting but unable to find the price.
I live in the U.S.A., Would you please give me the total cost +–shipping for your book WORTH MORE THEN RUBIES.

  3. Hi Debbie, the book can be purchased direct in the US – there are links in the sidebar and on the order page for purchasing through Lulu.com. But I will take your suggestion and add the USD value on the order page. I’ll email you direct with the details. Thanks for dropping by.

  4. Hi Kathie,
There are pros and cons to the ebook, certainly. It would make your book more marketable globally, plus it is easy to arrange with a print-ready PDF file.
But a print book can be taken places an ebook can’t, like to beaches or on planes. There also are a lot of decisions to be made regarding copy protection, and online delivery options.
Some give the ebook away in the belief the ebook will help sell the print book, but I am not comfortable with that myself.
I have put my book for sale in Amazon.com’s Kindle format. This may be an option for you if you can get a decent conversion to Kindle format from your text file. It would put your book on the market in the U.S. and it is free to submit. They give you 35% of sales. Here is the link: http://dtp.amazon.com/mn/signin
