Worth More Than Rubies

I’m on a mission and thought I’d share it with you – because you, the reader, may live in the US, or have contacts in the US. I don’t want you to go out of your way, but I do believe that if someone says something to you, that might be suitable for me, you won’t know unless I’ve let you know. I’m sending this message via some US forums I belong to online, but thought I’d share it with you too.

Hi everyone, thought I’d come over and pay you a visit from the land of Oz – well, at least in a virtual way, but I’m hoping it might become more physical in 2008!

I’ve been invited to an event being held in April at Daytona, Florida. Now, at this stage I cannot afford to go to that place but my daughter recently wrote an excellent blog post on something she heard at Hillsong this year and it basically says ‘if it’s God Will, then put it on God’s bill’. I’d already dismissed this trip as impossible but after reading that message something went off inside of me and I realised that if God wants me to be at this event then He will foot the bill – I just have to put in the effort and step forward in faith.

So, this long-winded post is one of my steps forward. If you know of any church conferences or events, Women’s events, Mother’s groups, etc, etc that might have an interest in a speaker/author from Australia whose main topic is The Proverbs 31 Woman then I want to hear about it.

I believe, where possible, women should be working at home and caring for family (read that, run a business, earn an income and work at home whilst caring with family) . Remember I said ‘where possible’. I know that not all women and mothers are cut out for that, and not all have the opportunity, but I do believe my book opens doors for those who want to do that. And the book has already been instrumental in women returning to their faith, or finding faith where it didn’t exist before.
